Hands on TAR Session a Hit at ILTA 2013

kCura hit this one out of the park!  For those that were able to attend this session I'm sure you will agree...for those that didn't you can download the presentation from the ILTA 2013 Conference download site.  The presentation includes some great information on technology assisted review.

Unfortunately, because this was a hands on session it was not recorded so here is a summary of what you will miss...

The session was very engaging and highly participatory.  Participants had hand paddles to hold up for voting and were dealt cards to bet on the assisted review results (nice touch in Vegas).  kCura put together a fabulous workbook participants used to follow along with the presentation and hands-on exercises.

The session started with a brief introduction to technology assisted review.  Participants were then led through the following hands on exercises:

  • Calculating a sample size
  • Creating a project
  • Creating a control set
  • Pre-coding a seed set
  • Analyzing end-of-round reports
  • Creating and coding a QC round
  • Performing a Meta Round

Each of these hands on exercises included sections before and after with instructions and educational information.  The session ended with a group quiz to reinforce the learning experience!

Hats off to Constantine Pappas, Andrea Garlanger and the rest of the kCura crew for hitting a home run on this one!
