Chicago Roadshow: Gain Stakeholder Support for Strategic Training Initiatives

When:  Jul 8, 2015 from 12:00 to 13:30 (CT)

Gain Stakeholder Support for Strategic Training Initiatives

Lunch Sponsor: Capensys

Description:
The buzz around technology efficiency has provided impetus and leverage for technology training. As a training professional, you understand the importance of adopting a culture of continuous efficiency improvement at your firm, but how do you translate this perspective to the stakeholders? How can you help stakeholders recognize training as a vehicle to help them address firm-wide and departmental business problems and goals?

We will provide practical methods you can immediately put into practice to help gain the support of your stakeholders for training strategy decisions at your firm -- be it attorney training, up-skilling or rollout training. We'll focus on an up-skilling project as an example, but will also provide useful tips for any training initiative. Topics will include:

  • Identifying stakeholders and business goals (who and what is driving the training initiative, who to interview and how, and key questions to ask)
  • Setting goals and measurables
  • Creating an executive summary/presentation for stakeholders
  • How other firms have achieved stakeholder buy-in
