LAW LIBRARIAN, SPEAKER, TEACHER, BLOGGER AND AUTHOR specializing in knowledge management, information management, library management, legal research, records management and social media. More than twenty years progressive law firm library experience, including 13 years as library and knowledge services manager. Conference and event planning. Former KM consultant.

SPECIALTIES: information management, library management, knowledge management, records management, legal process improvement, legal project management, change management, information architecture, taxonomy, social media, blogging, facilitation

EDUCATION: Currently part of the first cohort in Suffolk University Law School's new Legal Innovation and Technology certificate program. As a lifelong learner, I also have several other certifications in Knowledge Management, Information Management and Records Management, as well as a Masters degree in Library Science and two degrees in English Literature.

PERSONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS: I have served as President in both the Canadian Association of Law Libraries and the Toronto Association of Law Libraries. I have volunteered a total of 12 years non-profit board of directors experience in these two organizations.

In 2013 I trained for and walked the Camino Frances pilgrimage route over a 5-week period in May and June with my friend and colleague Joan. We walked 780 km (500 miles) or an average of 26 km a day. In June 2017 we returned to walk the Camino Portuguese from Porto, Portugal to Santiago, Spain (200 km/120 miles). These were physical, mental and emotional challenges. We return for a third walk in the summer of 2020.

In 2014, 2015, and 2019! I trained for and rode 660 km (410 miles) in the Friends for Life Bike Rally from Toronto to Montreal, a fundraising event supporting the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation. I have also volunteered as road support crew for the Bike Rally twice, and look forward to ride it again in 2020.

Today I apply the determination, patience and focus I learned from these challenges to my every day work. I look forward to new journeys.
