The Outside Counsel & Engagement Management team is responsible for the delivery of cost-effective solutions to meet the business and market challenges faced by the Global Legal department. It is responsible for: pricing and estimating legal matters and processes; designing, implementing and managing alternative fee arrangements (AFAs); facilitating legal project management for matters, transactions, and portfolios; selecting outside counsel; and, managing outside counsel relationships. The team is also responsible for the facilitation and promotion of the use of the department’s internal knowledge and expertise; document management and the promotion of active collaboration between the members of the department and with, and amongst, outside counsel.
