Description:
New positions like Innovations Officer, Director of Innovation Strategies, and Head of Research and Development are cropping up in law firms throughout North America, the U.K. and Australia. But, in an industry steeped in tradition and reputedly slow to adopt change, do these roles stand a real chance of sparking novel ideas that can gain traction and move their firms ahead of the competition? Do they herald a fundamental change in the way law is practiced, legal services are delivered and law firms are operated? Will more and more firms create roles and departments dedicated to nurturing innovation? This webinar explores where and when "innovation" positions and departments started to appear in law firms, the role they currently play and are likely to play in the coming years, the scope and range of their mandate, and the current and future impact they are likely to have on the legal profession.
